Andrew P. Dold, M.D.

 

Andrew Dold, M.D. is a double board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic procedures of the hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle.  He has been in practice in the Dallas, Texas area since 2016 and is the director of sports medicine and hip arthroscopy at Star Orthopedics and Sports Medicine based in Frisco, Texas. He treats a variety of sports medicine conditions, with expertise performing minimally invasive, joint preserving procedures. 

Dr. Dold completed medical school at Trinity College, University of Dublin in Ireland. He then completed orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Toronto in Canada. After residency, Dr. Dold completed a clinical fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy at New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center and the Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Canada (FRCSC) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ABOS Board Certified).

Andrew A. Indresano, M.D.

 

Andy Indresano, M.D. believes the healing process starts with the patient-physician relationship and a caring and competent bedside manner. He is often recognized by patients, colleagues and peers for outstanding communication skills and he believes that all patients deserve the utmost attention and respect from all people involved in the patient’s healing process.

Dr. Indresano completed his training at the University of California, San Diego for his orthopedic surgery residency, one of the highest ranked Orthopedic training programs in the nation. Dr. Indresano then completed his specialty training in spine surgery at one of the leading spine programs in the country: the University of Wisconsin, Madison, a program renowned for innovation and leadership in the field of Spine Surgery.

Aimee L. Schimizzi, M.D.

Aimee L. Schimizzi, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and upper extremity.

Dr. Schimizzi grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, and she attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate education as well as her medical school education. After completing her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego, she pursued an additional year of training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery in New York City, completing her fellowship at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital C.V. Starr Hand Surgery Center (now known as the Roosevelt Hand to Shoulder Surgery Center). She also received additional training in pediatric and congenital hand conditions at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital here in Dallas.

Brian J. Snow, M.D.

 

Brian J. Snow, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. After graduating from medical school he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, the busiest trauma center in the country.

 

Dr. Snow then went on to complete a fellowship in advanced arthroscopy and sports medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. During his training he treated a wide variety of injuries to athletes at all levels and contributed articles to medical literature about the long term effects of ACL reconstruction. He has served as the team physician for various high schools and cared for the University of Utah Utes and the USC Trojans.

Bala K. Giri, M.D.

 

Dr. Bala K. Giri is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a licensed physician in Texas. Dr. Giri earned his doctorate in medicine with honors at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He performed his residency in neurological surgery at Baylor College of Medicine with emphasis on spinal surgery and instrumentation, functional and stereotactic procedures, oncologic, vascular and trauma neurosurgery. He has served as chief of Neurological Surgery and Spine Surgery at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas and has been in private practice in the Dallas area since 1999.

 

In addition to his Best Doctors in Dallas recognition in D Magazine since 2004, Dr. Giri has been invited to perform surgeries and lectures internationally due to his expertise. He also has been a featured surgeon on local and international news programs and the Discovery Health Channel.
